Celebrating the Class of 2015

The ceremony was a grand occasion that recognized the culmination of years of hard work, dedication, sacrifice and triumph for students and their families.

The accomplishments of the Class of 2015 speak volumes. Students were accepted to over 71 colleges and universities and received an average of $168,318 in college scholarships. Thirty-four seniors completed I.B. coursework and 13 are members of the National Honor Society. Altogether, the Class of 2015 completed over 1,900 hours of community service.

During the commencement ceremony, two distinguished members of the Class of 2015, Julián Nelson (valedictorian) and Nicholas Orji (salutatorian), both addressed fellow classmates with heartfelt reflections on their experiences at Carroll. With gratitude and a touch of humor, each shared a unique perspective on their achievements. The two were followed by commencement speaker Stephen Hocker ‘71, past president and CEO of Special Olympics DC. As an alumnus, Hocker imparted words of wisdom and valuable life lessons to graduates.

The Class of 2015 is heading out into the world with the strength and conviction to “Know, Love, Serve,” and we couldn’t be more proud!
