Name: Robert Harris '91

Position: Head Coach/Asst. AD
Bio: As a 1991 graduate of Carroll, Mr. Harris is honored to be back here in these halls after 30 years. He has over two decades of experience coaching football. His philosophy as a coach revolves around discipline and making sure student athletes do the little things right. When that happens, the big things will come. Coach Harris is two time WCAC Metro Division Coach of the Year for 2019 and 2021. In 2021 he was also DCSAA Class AA Coach of the Year as well as The Pigskin Club of Washington Co-Coach of the Year, as his Lions finished with the best single season record in school history 13-1.
Prior to Carroll, he was the Head Football, Head Boys Track Coach, and the Law, Education and Public Service Academy Coordinator at Surrattsville High School in Clinton, Maryland. Where he led the Hornets to two MPSSAA Regional Titles in football 2013 and 2014. Mr. Harris earned a B.S. in Elementary Education from Central State University, where he played fullback on the football team. He went on to attend Coppin State University, earning an M.S. in Adult and General Education and an Administration 1 certificate.
He is the proud husband to Mrs. Natonya Harris and father of two sons and two daughters (Robert III, Jordan '20, Chanese and Nashana).
