Robert Hoderny Memorial Scholarship Fund
& Service Day
At Archbishop Carroll, we are a community built on faith, service, and the unwavering commitment of those who have come before us. Few embodied that commitment more than Robert J. Hoderny. He was a force of nature, an educator and advocate who dedicated his life to teaching about the poor and homeless, fighting for social justice, building school spirit, and quietly ensuring that no student went without the support they needed, whether it be lunch money, help with tuition, or their daily bus/subway fare.
Honor that legacy by supporting the Robert Hoderny Scholarship Fund or the Robert Hoderny Day of Service (March 21, 2026) today! Your generous gift to the scholarship fund will directly assist students and families who need a little help in affording Carroll’s annual tuition ($18,888).
Gifts to the Hoderny Day of Service help us buy all the bread, meat, condiments, and bags we need to make 1,000 sandwich lunches to be shared with Catholic Charities, Shrine of the Sacred Heart Food Pantry, and Martha's Table on Saturday, March 21 (four days after Robert's birthday). Alumni and current students come together to make the lunches on Saturday morning in Carroll's cafeteria. $1,000 covers the day's expenses, so anything you can contribute toward that day's goal is appreciated.
