School Profile

Archbishop Carroll is a Catholic school run by the Archdiocese of Washington. As our patron saint, St. Augustine, says, “our hearts are restless until they rest in You, O Lord,” and our faith formation of students focuses on the prayer, scripture and knowledge that can provide unique comfort to students. Our students also engage in works of study, service and social justice that manifest our call to bring about the Kingdom of God. 

College Preparatory 

At least 100% of our graduates are accepted into institutions of higher education. The Class of 2021 received scholarships totaling over $5,053,0924 from the following Universities and Colleges*

Research-Based Pedagogy 

Archbishop Carroll teachers collaborate on over forty hours of professional development in best practices each year, with a focus on adopting those learning strategies with a proven basis for success. Our teachers use highly engaging practices, including:

* Cooperative learning structures, with a focus on social skill development, mutual growth, and individual accountability;

* Developmental designs school climate strategies, which emphasize the growth of responsible independence and positive community;

* Instructional technology, including the Course Director learning management system, that facilitates accountability and differentiation.
