Carroll Welcomes New Student in International Exchange Program

Through a partnership with the Cambridge Institute for International Education, qualified international students may attend Archbishop Carroll and participate in a homestay program.

Attending high school in the U.S. is a dream come true for Bill. He says, “Archbishop Carroll is a well-known school in the DC area. It offers a high quality education and there are friendly students. I think this is a good choice for me.”

Bill, now in his junior year, has hit the ground running. He is studying hard and focusing on improving his English. In addition to devoting time to his studies, he is immersing himself in American culture, making friends and getting familiar with his new surroundings. Technology, especially apps like Google Translate, helps make the transition process easier.

Students have welcomed Bill with open arms. Director of Admissions Tiffani Scurlock shares, “Our students are very accepting of one another, and it is no different with Bill. He is a part of the Carroll family.”

A friendly and inquisitive student, Bill is a wonderful addition to the Carroll community. He looks forward to participating in a variety of clubs and activities, especially the robotics club because he enjoys making things and is fascinated by various devices and tools.

Bill would like to attend college in the U.S. after graduating from Carroll. His goal is to major in mechanical engineering and pursue a career in a related field.
