Ms. Howard is a fifth generation African-American Catholic raised in D.C. and an active (tireless!) member of St. Teresa of Avila parish. She earned degrees from Boston College and The Catholic University of America and has worked as a teacher and advocate for children with disabling conditions and as an elementary school (St. Francis de Sales) teacher and administrator.
