Letter from Archbishop Carroll President Larry Savoy '93

Dear Archbishop Carroll Community,

I pray that you and your families remain healthy and safe amidst the ever changing climate of our society.  During these unprecedented and unpredictable times, I want to assure you that the Archbishop Carroll community is committed to the success of our students.

I would like to say a special “Thank You” to Principal Gilmore and her Academic Team for all of their hard work and commitment to the success of our students.  Our incredible team worked to create an online learning curriculum and made adjustments to ensure our students remain on-track. Since Monday, March 16, 2020, Archbishop Carroll High School has been successfully delivering academic instruction.

Distance Learning and virtual classes have taken place using Google Apps for Education - Google Classroom, Google Hangouts and ACHS Gmail and MyBackPack (students’ academic portals). The virtual interaction with students has allowed our educators to maintain a level of instruction that further supports our students’ academic growth. To ensure that families have access to school resources to support their academic, spiritual, mental and physical needs, our Teachers, Campus Ministry, Counseling and Athletic Departments have committed themselves to support, direct and give guidance to our community.

The impact of the COVID-19 outbreak has been more significant than we could have predicted just a few weeks ago, but our community is working hard to ensure the continued success of Archbishop Carroll High School.  We face new challenges and decisions that will impact the lives of our current and future students. As we continue to look at new and innovative ways of supporting and serving our school, we must keep in mind that none of this would be possible without the love of God and our belief that we are making a difference.

Archbishop Carroll High School’s campus may be closed… but we continue to educate and support our future.  Please continue to keep us in your thoughts and prayers with these difficult days ahead.

We appreciate your generous support as we strive to move forward with our mission.

God Bless!
