A Special Carroll Christmas Carol Christmas Special

The students took the spotlight in the Gordon McMahon Theater on Dec. 9 and 10 to deliver a stellar production for the annual Special Carroll Christmas Carol Christmas Special titled: Christmas Around the World. Members of the Carroll Ensemble, the Concert Choir, Carroll Band, Latin Dance Team, Emerald Illusion Dance Team, and the Carroll Players, joined forces to create a memorable evening of the arts.

Thanksgiving: A Time of Service

We are well into the Christmas season, but would be remiss not to mention the grand success of the Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive. Students, faculty, alumni, and members of the community came out in large numbers to donate, package, and deliver food to families in need. The distinct difference between the Carroll Food Drive and others lies in the quantity of food provided. Families selected receive food for Thanksgiving Day, as well as enough groceries for approximately two weeks of meals. This is about meeting the need of families, and the Carroll community banded together for weeks to ensure its success.

Carroll Faculty Recognized by the High School Principals Association

Each year, Carroll High School is given the amazing opportunity to nominate faculty members who go above and beyond for our students to be named 'Teacher of the Year' by the Archdiocese of Washington's High School Principals Association. This year's recipient of the Veteran Teacher of the Year Award is Deacon Kenneth Lee. Clayton Willets is this year's Novice Teacher of the Year.

Dedication of Augustinian Hall to Philip and Hilda Mudd

A beautiful celebration took place as Augustinian Hall was officially dedicated to to the memory of Philip and Hilda Mudd. A packed house witnessed Fr. Mudd speak on his the struggles his parents encountered as working class immigrants. Fr. Mudd said the drive and passion that his parents displayed to secure a better life for themselves and their descendants mirrors the sacrifice Carroll parents make to ensure their children receive a quality education. Education is the gateway to success, and Carroll has continue to prepare students for excellence.
