On June 8, a standing room only crowd filled the Roof Terrace Restaurant at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts for the Annual Spring Benefit in support of Archbishop Carroll. This special celebration, which honors distinguished alumni and faculty, is Carroll’s largest fundraising event of the year.

Embedded in the student experience at Carroll is a call to action to think critically about the ills that plague our society and to work for justice. This spring, eleventh graders spent two months working on a variety of social justice issues as part of their capstone projects for their social justice class.

On Thursday, May 21, Archbishop Carroll High School held its commencement ceremony celebrating the 64th graduating class at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception.

The House of Representatives' Committee on Oversight and Government Reform held a public hearing about the re-authorization of the Scholarships for Opportunity and Results Act (SOAR Act) on Thursday, May 14 at Archbishop Carroll High School.

These are just some of the benefits of participating in the International Baccalaureate (I.B.) program at Archbishop Carroll. With buzz spreading, more students are signing on.

A bank president and CEO. A veterinarian. An accountant. An entrepreneur. A member of the U.S. Coast Guard. An anesthesiologist. An FBI agent. Students learned about these occupations and many more during Archbishop Carroll’s annual Career Day held on April 23.

There are many things on the minds of seniors this spring. Finishing up classes, studying for final exams, gearing up for the graduation ceremony and finding a summer job are just a few. Amidst all of this lies the important decision of where to attend college.

Steve Hocker '71, ReNika Moore '95, and Boyd Rutherford '75 will be inducted into Carroll's Hall of Honor on June 8 at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts Roof Terrace Restaurant. The evening will also feature the presentation of the Patrick Cardinal O'Boyle Medal to Rev. Roy Campbell '65.

Musical theatre returned to Archbishop Carroll in March with the production of the Tony award-winning Broadway musical “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown”.
