Carroll Students Takeover George Washington Law School

It would have been a typical Criminal Law class for the first year George Washington Law School students, but on November 3 they were joined by Carroll's Law & Justice Class. Sixteen students attended the lecture given by Carroll's own Professor Roger Fairfax ('90) and actively participated by answering questions and engaging in discussions surrounding the legal scenarios given.

Carroll Student Fights for Justice as the Youngest Member of a Mayoral Advisory Group

It appears that Miracle Johns is your average student at Carroll; she excels academically -- regularly listed on the Principal's List, is a flyer on the cheerleading squad, and a member of the Social Justice Club and Literary Magazine. When she leaves the halls of Carroll she wears another hat, she is a Commissioner for the mayor's Juvenile Justice Advisory Group (JJAG). As the youngest member of the council, the 17-year-old serves as the liaison between D.C.'s youth and the legislative body creating laws to govern them.

Shadow Visits! Be a Lion for a Day

Current 8th graders can be a Lion for a Day, shadowing a current Carroll ambassador student and getting an experience of daily life at the school. Shadow visits generally occur from September to March each school year.
