From Pupil to Bishop: The Ordination of Bishop Roy Campbell, Class of 1965

Bishop Campbell will continue to serve as the pastor of St. Joseph Parish in Largo, MD, where he has served since 2010. Bishop Campbell was ordained as a priest of the Archdiocese of Washington in 2007 after completing his Master of Divinity degree at Pope St. John XXIII National Seminary. Prior to his journey to priesthood, he attended Howard University and the University of Virginia to launch his 30 year banking career. Throughout his career, he remained committed to service, serving on the Board of Directors of the American Lung Association of Maryland and as a basketball coach at Sacred Heart Parish. He used his expertise in banking to benefit his parish as the chairman of the parish finance council, the co-chair of the capital campaign, and the treasurer of the Holy Name Society.
