The Archbishop Carroll High School Walk for Education began 19 years ago as a healthy fundraising alternative to bring awareness to the community about the increasing cost of Catholic high school education. Each year, students, faculty, and parents at Archbishop Carroll High School raise money and walk over four miles through downtown D.C. (from 3rd & Madison Drive NW to Hains Point) in an effort to keep Carroll the most affordable Catholic high school in the Washington, D.C. area.
Each student is responsible for raising $100 or more to assist the Advancement office in continuing to help financially support the mission of the school. Prizes such as laptops and free books for a semester are given as incentives to the students who raise the most money. Last year, students at Archbishop Carroll High School raised an additional $10,000.
