The legacy of the late Robert Hoderny, who set the direction for Carroll's enduring commitment to social justice and activism, will be celebrated on the 65th anniversary of his birthday, March 17 from 3:00 to 5:00 pm in the Gordon McMahon Theatre and reception in the Carroll Cafe.
Please click here to RSVP by March 14th. If you have questions, please contact Crystal Rucker at crucker@archbishopcarroll.org. You can also purchase a commemorative Hoderny t-shirt online at http://thelionsdenshop.com/hoderny.html
Additionally, you are invited to participate in two community service projects in Mr. Hoderny's honor. All are invited to join the Class of 1992 for a service project making sandwiches for Martha's Table, in the Carroll Cafe from 8:00 am to 12:00 noon. Contact Rachel (rachelnes@yahoo.com) for more details on the service project. Here is a message from the Class of 1992 about the project:
In celebration of his 65th birthday, life and impact of Robert Hoderny, the Class of 1992 would like to invite you to our Community Service Project Event. In partnership with Martha's Table, the Class of 1992, who is celebrating their 20-year reunion this summer, will be making sandwiches and collecting canned goods. We are asking that each person bring two (2) loaves of bread and one (1) jar of peanut butter and jelly or meat (ham, turkey) and cheese to make as many sandwiches as possible.
We are asking for FULL participation from ACHS alumni and the current student body, teachers and staff!!
Let us honor Mr. Hoderny's legacy and name by giving back to those less fortunate. It was one of the greatest lessons he taught us! Please come out to support this great community service project, and at the same time, catch up with old friends, make new friends, and have a great time in fellowship and love. WOOF!
Also, the students of Archbishop Carroll have launched a clothing drive to aid the homless and community shelters. Please help support the students by bringing some of the listed items with you on the 17th:
