Augustine Scholars

St. Augustine, the patron saint of Archbishop Carroll High School, is one of the great thinkers of the Christian tradition.  A man of learning, he found true contentment when he combined intellect with faith in God. He also found both his faith and his knowledge strengthened by forming a community.

The Augustine Scholars are those students who, upon application to Archbishop Carroll, demonstrate exceptional academic promise, qualifying for honors-level courses, and who indicate a willingness to grow in fellowship with other exceptional students. Augustine Scholars are particularly interested in positioning themselves to attend highly selective colleges and universities.

Candidates have the potential to excel as scholars, as leaders and as contributors to the Archbishop Carroll Community and to society. Augustine Scholars take an interest in and show an aptitude for leadership; demonstrated leadership experience in church and/or volunteer activities desirable. We are pleased to be able to offer academic merit scholarships to many Augustine Scholars.
