The evening gala also recognized two members who stand out a unsung heroes. Howard James '85 and his company, FastSigns, were hailed as Carroll's 2017 CBN-DC Business Partners of the Year. The firm has created most of the banners and signs used at Carroll and james has served on several committees and assisted in the promotion of Carroll's Performing Arts Department.
Carroll's 2017 CBN-DC Volunteer of the Year honoree was Melanie Johnson. For the past eight years, Johnson has worked hundreds of hours as a volunteer. Serving on the football field in the concession stand, chaperoning band trips, and holding the position as Treasurer for Carroll's Parents' Association are examples of the many ways she has served. Her dedicated service to our students and faculty exemplifies Although her daughters have graduated, her presence is still felt in the halls of Carroll.
