Thanksgiving: A Time of Service

With 35,000 pounds of food, Carroll was able to make a difference in the lives of 298 families. Partnering with the Catholic Worker House, Shrine of the Sacred Heart, Food Pantry, Thomas More, and to St. Francis de Sales allowed us to greatly increase our reach into various D.C. communities.

As Father Jordan Kelly, a campus minister and organizer of the food drive, reflected on the month of events, he shared that, “The most moving part of the day was when a woman who was far down on the wait list was able to be given two family boxes, and the last Turkey – I will never forget her face, her name, or he appreciation.”
